29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b) Location: 1961 East 21st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11229 On or about: February 7, 2025. (a) Employees performing carpentry on the second floor balcony were not protected by guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, or equivalent; the employer did not ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities were protected from falling approximately 12 feet to lower levels. The B.A.M. Builders Inc. was previously cited for a first repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(13)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1666464, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02-20-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1946 Ocean Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11223.
