(a) Employees performing carpentry on the second floor balcony were not protected by guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, or equivalent; the employer did not ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities were protected from falling approximately 12 feet to lower levels.  The B.A.M. Builders Inc. was previously cited for a first repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(13)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1666464, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02-20-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1946 Ocean Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11223.
