29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2):Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary. a) At the site located near the intersection of Little Neck Rd and D.O.T Barn Road in Bloomingdale, GA 31302: On or about February 12, 2025, the employer exposed employees to cave-in hazards in that, the spoil pile was not located at least two-feet from the excavations edge. b) At the site located near the intersection of Little Neck Rd and D.O.T Barn Road in Bloomingdale, GA 31302: On or about February 12, 2025, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that, the excavator was not located at least two-feet from the excavations edge.
