29 CFR 1910.124(h)(3): Employees working with liquids that could burn, irritate, or otherwise harm their skin were not provided with appropriate first-aid supplies that were located near dipping or coating operations: a) In the Bar Pickle House, on or about February 13, 2025 - Employees working with Sulfuric Acid in an 1800 gallon dip tank operated at 140-170 degrees Fahrenheit, Phos Dip 38 Make-UP and Phos Dip 38GB Replenisher in a 2150 gallon dip tank operated at 170-195 degrees Fahrenheit, C-Lube 10 in a 2300 gallon dip tank operated at 165-190 degrees Fahrenheit, and Mississippi Lime Hydrated Lime in a 2500 gallon dip tank operated at 195-215 degrees Fahrenheit to clean and coat steel bars were not provided with first-aid supplies located near the dipping operation. b) In the Coil Pickle House, on or about February 13, 2025 - Employees working with Sulfuric Acid in a 3500 gallon dip tank operated at 140-170 degrees Fahrenheit, CT 105 Permanganate in a 3700 gallon dip tank operated at 190-205 degrees Fahrenheit, and Mississippi Lime Hydrated Lime in a 2500 gallon dip tank operated at 195-215 degrees Fahrenheit to clean and coat steel coils were not provided with first-aid supplies located near the dipping operation.
