This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. Hazards observed on or about February 20, 2025.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Machine shop at 676 Pennsylvania Ave ELIZABETH, NJ 07201 - a) Drill presses did not have adequate guarding to prevent accidental contact and injuries by flying chips during operation. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. b) Milling machines did not have adequate guarding to prevent accidental contact and injuries by flying chips during operation. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. c) Lathes did not have adequate guarding to prevent accidental contact and injuries by flying chips during operation. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. d) Bending machines did not have adequate guarding to prevent accidental contact and injuries by flying chips during operation. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. Hazards observed on or about June 10, 2025.
