29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as specified in paragraphs 1926.451(b)(1)(i)-(ii): a) Worksite was located at 101 Jersey Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ 07762 A worker was exposed to fall hazards in excess of twenty five feet to ground while they were doing brick work on the chimney of a new two and a half-story single-family residence. The worker was standing on a single scaffold plank on the upper section of a tube and coupler scaffold that was not fully planked. Violation was observed on or about February 27, 2025. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

The worker was standing on the roof of the house under construction with no fall protection on. Violation was observed on or about February 27, 2025. Abatare Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1636895 , citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 7, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 106 Madison Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ 07762. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
