29 CFR  1910.9(b): Training. Standards in this part requiring training on hazards and related matters, such as standards requiring that employees receive training or that the employer train employees, provide training to employees, or institute or implement a training program, impose a separate compliance duty with respect to each employee covered by the requirement. The employer must train each affected employee in the manner required by the standard, and each failure to train an employee may be considered a separate violation. [FR 73 75583, Dec. 12, 2008]  a) On and before February 20, 2025, the employer did not ensure that training based on their JSA, entitled "Residential Operations for Drivers" dated 2-28-2024, for Rear Load Trucks was conducted for hazards and safety related matters such as potential for being caught in cutter located 6" from multi-levers for the rear loader.  Employees including trainers, truck drivers and helpers were not trained prior to their dumping residential cans manually and with the tipper, on the JSA procedures that requires drivers and/or helpers to utilize their left hands when operating the multi-levers controls located on the side of the rear load trucks.
