29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level: a) Facility 1835 Dale Road, Cheektowaga, NY - On or about and prior to 3/4/2025, an initial determination was not made to determine if employees would be exposed to lead above the action level, while working with lead-acid batteries, and battery cell replacement with Antimonial Lead. Employees were arc gouging lead-acid battery (SDS=60-70% of lead) posts, and performing battery cell replacement with Antimonial Lead (SDS=88-99% of lead). NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1025(l)(1)(i): Employee(s) working in an area where there is potential exposure to airborne lead at any level were not informed of the content of Appendices A and B of 29 CFR 1910.1025: a) Facility 1835 Dale Road, Cheektowaga, NY - On or about and prior to 3/4/2025, employee(s) working in an area where there is potential exposure to airborne lead at any level were not informed of the content of Appendices A and B of 29 CFR 1910.1025. Employees were handling lead-acid batteries and performing "arc gouging" and Battery Cell Replacement using the old methodology resulting in time weighted average (TWA) airborne concentrations of 3.81 ug/m3 and 16.25 ug/m3 of lead. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
