29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. a- 47 Princeton - Hightstown Road, West Windsor NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below, when walking and working from a commercial structure's pitched canopy roof without fall protection. Condition observed on or about 03/04/25. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a- 47 Princeton - Hightstown Road, West Windsor NJ.: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below, when accessing to and egressing from a pitched canopy roof using a portable aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the top of the roof (upper landing surface). Observed on or about 03/04/25.
