29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. a) Deli Area: On or about March 6, 2025, employees were exposed to electrical hazards when a white extension cord was being used in lieu of permanent fixed wiring to provide 120 volt power to a countertop appliance. Newport NS Commissary was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1694621, citation number 2, item number 2and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1163 Whipple Street, Newport, RI 02841.
