29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by the point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, and flying chips. Employees conducted machining operations on or about March 10, 2025, in the main machine/fabrication shop by using unguarded lathes. 1. The Kingston (HJ-1100) lathe in a Machine shop is missing a chuck guard. 2. The Sidney Lathe in the machine shop, missing chuck guard.
