29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): At a residential neighborhood development identified as the "Traditions" subdivision located in Belton, MO, employees were exposed to fall hazards. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to perform construction work at heights greater than 6 feet without utilizing fall protection. Instances of exposure include but are not limited to: 1. At the 1601 Maci Street, Belton, MO site located within the subdivision, Two employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 20 feet above the next lower level while performing framing work without the use of fall protection near the northeast corner of the structure's roof. 2. At the 1603 Maci Street, Belton, MO site located within the subdivision, one employee was exposed to fall hazards greater than 20 feet above the next lower level while performing framing work near the southern edge of the structure's roof without the use of fall protection. 3. At the 1603 Maci Street, Belton, MO site located within the subdivision, one employee was exposed to fall hazards greater than 8 feet above the next lower level while performing framing work near the center of the structure's roof without the use of fall protection. 4. At the 1607 Maci Street, Belton, MO site located within the subdivision, 4 employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 20 feet above the next lower level while performing roofing work on the upper level of the structure's roof without the use of fall protection. 5. At the 1607 Maci Street, Belton, MO site located within the subdivision, 2 employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 14 feet above the next lower level while performing roofing work on the lower level of the structure's roof without the use of fall protection.
