29 CFR  1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs,  debris was not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures:  a) 1503 N. Dupont Highway New Castle, DE 19720: On or about March 18, 2025, employees were exposed to trip and fall hazards while navigating the work area surrounding an open excavation. The area contained scattered tools, construction debris, and unprotected holes adjacent to the main excavation, creating uneven and obstructed walking surfaces. These conditions increased the risk of slips, trips, and falls.

Dupont Highway New Castle, DE 19720: On or about March 18, 2025, an employee was observed cutting concrete with a Stihl saw without wearing any form of eye or face protection. This exposed the employee to flying concrete particles, creating a risk of serious eye and facial injuries during construction activities.

Dupont Highway New Castle, DE 19720: On or about March 18, 2025, gasoline was observed being stored/transported in a container that was not DOT-approved. This exposed employees to the risk of flammable liquid spills and potential fire hazards.

Dupont Highway New Castle, DE 19720: On or about March 18, 2025, employees were exposed to respirable crystalline silica when the employer did not conduct a hazard assessment or implement exposure monitoring for employees reasonably expected to inhale silica dust generated during and after concrete cutting operations. In addition, required engineering controls were not in place to reduce employee exposure.
