29 CFR 1910.145(f)(3): Use. Tags shall be used as a means to prevent accidental injury or illness to employees who are exposed to hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, equipment or operations which are out of the ordinary, unexpected or not readily apparent. Tags shall be used until such time as the identified hazard is eliminated or the hazardous operation is completed. Tags need not be used where signs, guarding or other positive means of protection are being used. Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery: On or about March 18, 2025, employee(s) used the Shindaiwa straight shaft grass trimmer for grass upkeep. The trimmer was not maintained in a safe condition in that the trimmers muffler covers/guards were damaged and held in place by tie wire. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to burn hazard(s). Raven Operations, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.242(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1686587, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 16, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1420 Gallatin Pike South, Madison, TN 37115
