29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) 3800 Hempland Road, Mountville, PA 17554 - Emergency eyewash and shower unit inside Engine Room: On or about April 24, 2025, employees performed maintenance and took readings in the Engine Room where anhydrous ammonia was used as part of the refrigeration system. Suitable facilities for the quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body was not present due to the discharge of rusty colored water from the emergency eyewash and shower unit as the unit was not constructed of materials that would not corrode in the presence of the flushing fluid. b) 3800 Hempland Road, Mountville, PA 17554 - Emergency eyewash and shower unit inside Maintenance Shop: On or about April 24, 2025, employees performed maintenance and took readings in the Maintenance Shop where anhydrous ammonia was used as part of the refrigeration system. Suitable facilities for the quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body was not present due to the discharge of rusty colored water from the emergency eyewash and shower unit as the unit was not constructed of materials that would not corrode in the presence of the flushing fluid.
