29 CFR  1910.36(g)(2): Exit access(es) were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points.  (a) United Parcel Service of America Inc dba UPS, failed to ensure that exit routes were at a minimum of 28 inches in width at all points.  This condition was observed on or about March 21, 2025, on Belt 2, at the location of 331 Bishop Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143, in which exit routes were restricted to less than 28 inches and were approximately 12 inches wide at the narrowest point due to packages in the exit route.  Employees frequently worked in aisleways and were exposed to the limited egress hazard in the event of an emergency such as a fire.  (b) United Parcel Service of America Inc dba UPS, failed to ensure that exit routes were at a minimum of 28 inches in width at all points.  This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, on Belt 3, at the location of 331 Bishop Road, highland Heights, OH 44143, in which exit routes were restricted to less than 28 inches and were approximately  5 inches wide at the narrowest point due to packages in the exit route.  Employees frequently worked in aisleways and were exposed to the limited egress hazard in the event of an emergency such as a fire.  (c) United Parcel Service of America Inc dba UPS, failed to ensure that exit routes were at a minimum of 28 inches in width at all points.  This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, on Belt 5, at the location of 331 Bishop Road, highland Heights, OH 44143, in which exit routes were restricted to less than 28 inches and were approximately 6 inches wide at the narrowest point due to packages in the exit route .  Employees frequently worked in aisleways and were exposed to the limited egress hazard in the event of an emergency such as a fire.  (d) United Parcel Service of America Inc dba UPS, failed to ensure that exit routes were at a minimum of 28 inches in width at all points.  This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, on Belt 7, at the location of 331 Bishop Road, highland Heights, OH 44143, in which exit routes were restricted to less than 28 inches and were approximately  10 inches wide at the narrowest point due to packages in the exit route .  Employees frequently worked in aisleways and were exposed to the limited egress hazard in the event of an emergency such as a fire.  The United Parcel Service of America Inc dba UPS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.36(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1658413, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-11-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 200 Oak Hill Way, Brockton, MA 02301 .

29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:  (a) United Parcel Service of America Inc, dba UPS, did not ensure that exit routes are kept free and unobstructed.  This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, at the location of 331 Bishop Rd, Highland Heights, OH 44143, in which the exit route / steps at the back of Belt 3 was restricted and obstructed by 3 totes that held numerous small packages.   Employees working on Belt 3 performing activities such as loading the package trucks were exposed to the limited egress hazard in the event of an emergency such as a fire.  The United Parcel Service of American Inc, dba UPS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1669117, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01-03-2025, with respect to a workplace located at 799 Jefferson Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054.  The United Parcel Service of America Inc, dba UPS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1627698, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01-25-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 325 Ruthar Drive, Newark, DE 19711.
