29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye:  a) Facility Wide - On or about February 17, 2025, the employer failed to report the in-patient hospitalization of an employee that suffered a work-related injury within twenty-four hours.  On February 15, 2025, an employee delivering a parcel to a residential address slipped on an icy patch of concrete and was hospitalized with a broken leg that required in-patient treatment.  The employer did not report this hospitalization until February 27, 2025.     The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1904.39(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1748391, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 26, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1165 2nd Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, 50318.
