29 CFR  1910.107(b)(2): The interior surfaces of spray booths were not smooth and continuous without edges and otherwise designed to prevent pocketing of residues and facilitate cleaning and washing without injury.  (a) On April 1, 2025, and prior thereto, employees performed spray-finishing using flammable primers, paints, and lacquers, in a spray booth primarily constructed of drywall. Shelving was hung on the wall to the right of the door, and the top layer of drywall was missing in the left corner furthest from the door and was cracked and broken near the air pumps. The exhaust ventilation was separated from the left corner of the booth by two pieces of drywall measuring approximately 12 feet tall and 5 feet deep. The two pieces were separated by a piece of wood on the ground, creating a gap which was approximately 4 inches wide and 5 feet deep.

29 CFR  1910.107(f)(3): Sprinklers protecting spraying areas were not kept as free of deposits as practicable:  (a) On April 1, 2025, and prior thereto, employees applied flammable primers, paints, and lacquers to cabinet components using an airless paint sprayer in a spray booth. Sprinkler heads were covered with bags that had visible accumulations of paint overspray.

29 CFR  1910.107(g)(2): All spraying areas were not kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary:  (a) On April 1, 2025, and prior thereto, employees performed spray-finishing using flammable primer, paint, and lacquer, in a spray booth primarily constructed of drywall. Paint had built up to approximately 3 inches deep under the air pumps and approximately 1 inch deep, to the left of the ventilation.
