29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a) on or about 10/28/2024.  Flat roof: 36-25 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY.    Employees replacing metal decking on an unprotected side of the flat roof were exposed to fall hazards approximately 21 feet to the parking garage below.  Note: ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
