29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 3/27/2025 at the worksite located at 2252 N Stonefalls Rd. Bldg D and Bldg A, Brookline, MO, subcontractor employees were exposed to fall hazards while conducting framing activities, when each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Instances of exposure include but are not limited to: 1. Bldg D Employee working on the first floor balcony on a step ladder with no fall protection above 30 feet. 2. Bldg D Employees working on top of the roof laying sheeting with no fall protection above 11 feet. 3. Bldg A Employees working on top of first floor wall installing floor joists.
