The employer did not ensure that employee(s) using a portable angle grinder were adequately protected by utilizing a guard with the equipment.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s):  At the workplace located at 2335 East 7th St. Hays, Kansas, employee(s) engaged in machine operation and fabrication activities, handling MP Gear Lube lubricating oil, Mystik JT-6 lubricating grease and Compressed Gas, N.O.S., are exposed to chemical hazards. The employer did not provide access to the Safety Data Sheets for MP Gear Lube lubricating oil, Mystik JT-6 lubricating grease and Compressed Gas, N.O.S. chemicals. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin, eye and respiratory irritation, may cause an allergic skin reaction, burns and/or frostbite, irregular breathing and/or respiratory arrest and tissue damage if accidentally injected into skin.
