29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a) On or about April 2, 2025, the employer did not ensure that the 400 to 1000 pound plastic film bales, which were stacked in columns up to 5 bales high and approximately 17.5 feet tall, were stacked, blocked, interlocked, and limited in height to ensure that the bales did not fall on employees working and walking near the bales.
