29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) 610 Bangor Road, Easton, PA, 18040 in the shop, on or about April 7, 2025, employees used a Kalamazoo Industries Heavy duty - Ball Bearing Grinder where the grinding wheel is not guarded to prevent accidental contact at the point of operation, exposing the operator/employee to an entanglement hazard. Grinder bearing Serial no. F775. b) 610 Bangor Road, Easton, PA, 18040 in the shop, on or about April 7, 2025, employees used a Clausing Cochester 15" Lathe - where the chuck is not guarded to prevent accidental contact at the point of operation, exposing the operator/employee to an entanglement hazard. Lathe manufactured by Colchester Lathe Co. Hythe Station Rd Coschester England bearing Diagram no. EP363. c) 610 Bangor Road, Easton, PA, 18040 in the shop, on or about April 7, 2025, employees used a Harding Model JHC, Serial number HC-3598-M Lathe - where the chuck is not guarded to prevent accidental contact at the point of operation, exposing the operator/employee to an entanglement hazard. d) 610 Bangor Road, Easton, PA, 18040 in the shop and near bathrooms, on or about April 7, 2025, employees used a Harding vertical, Lathe - where the chuck is not guarded to prevent accidental contact at the point of operation, exposing the operator/employee to an entanglement hazard.
