29 CFR  1910.106(e)(2)(ii)(b)(2): The quantity of liquid that may be located outside of an inside storage room or storage cabinet in a building or in any one fire area of a building shall not exceed: 120 gallons of Category 2, 3, or 4 flammable liquids in containers.  On or about April 8, 2025, at an establishment located at 214501 St Hwy 107, Mosinee, WI, employee working in the old Paint Building were exposed to potential burns hazards when a 55 gallon drum of Barsol A-4607, a 55 gallon drum of Diamond Vogel Mult-E-Prime 500 Hi-Build Epoxy Gray and two 55 gallon drums of Barsol LTJV514 Lacquer Thinner were found being stored improperly.  The flammable liquids exceeded the amount allowed outside of a cabinet or storage room.

29 CFR  1910.106(e)(6)(ii): Grounding. Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 �F (37.8 �C), shall not be dispensed into containers unless the nozzle and container are electrically interconnected. Where the metallic floorplate on which the container stands while filling is electrically connected to the fill stem or where the fill stem is bonded to the container during filling operations by means of a bond wire, the provisions of this section shall be deemed to have been complied with.  On or about April 8, 2025, at an establishment located at 214501 St Hwy 107, Mosinee, WI, employees were exposed to potential burns hazards while dispensing from a 55 Gallon drum of Barsol A-4607 without having first grounding the barrel and bonding to barrel to the dispensing container.

Combustible waste material and residues in a building or unit operating area shall be kept to a minimum, stored in covered metal receptacles and disposed of daily.  On or about April 8, 2025, at an establishment located at 214501 St Hwy 107, Mosinee, WI, employees were exposed to burn hazards when a combustible waste residue can, used to store waste material coated in flammable liquids, had not been emptied on a daily basis.

The following items shall be inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections. All deficiencies such as listed shall be carefully examined and determination made as to whether they constitute a safety hazard: 1910.179(j)(2)(i)-1910.179(j)(2)(iv).  On or about April 8, 2025, at an establishment located at 214501 St Hwy 107, Mosinee, WI, employees in the Old Building's Fabrication area were exposed to potential struck by hazards when overhead cranes were not inspected on a frequent basis to ensure they were operating safely and without defects.

29 CFR  1910.179(m)(1): Running ropes. A thorough inspection of all ropes shall be made at least once a month and a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier for the ropes which were inspected shall be kept on file where readily available to appointed personnel. Any deterioration, resulting in appreciable loss of original strength, shall be carefully observed and determination made as to whether further use of the rope would constitute a safety hazard. Some of the conditions that could result in an appreciable loss of strength are the following: 1910.179(m)(1)-1910.179(m)(1)(vi).  On or about April 8, 2025, at an establishment located at 214501 St Hwy 107, Mosinee, WI, employees in the Old Building's Fabrication area were exposed to potential struck-by hazards when the wire ropes of overhead cranes were not inspected on a monthly basis to ensure that they had not experienced appreciable loss of strength from items such as, but not limited to, kinks and broken strands.
