At the jobsite located at 1369 Louisville Drive, Columbia, MO 65203: Employees were exposed to fall hazards exceeding six feet while installing a new roof on a residential home. The employees were observed walking along the length of the roof while removing shingles and delivering supplies.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. At the jobsite located at 1369 Louisville Drive, Columbia, MO 65203, employees were exposed to fall hazards while accessing a residential roof using a ladder. The ladder did not extend a full three feet past the upper landing, as required for safe access. During the observation, employees were seen utilizing the ladder to both access and exit the roof; however, it extended less than one foot beyond the upper level.
