29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Specific requirements - Extensible and articulating boom platforms. Employees shall always stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. a) On or about April 09, 2025, the employer failed to ensure that employees performing framing work from an aerial lift were standing firmly on the floor of the basket. As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of around 11 feet.
