OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to potential fire, deflagration and explosion hazards associated with combustible metal dust.  a) Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire, and explosion hazards due to the  RAND Bright model 2800 wet dust collection system which was collecting combustible aluminum dust from a metal sanding machine, and located within the building and not grounded and bonded, on or about 4/11/25.   b)Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire, and explosion hazards due to a portable dust collector, DOERR Model LR22132,  which was collecting combustible aluminum dust from a metal sanding machine, and located within the building and not grounded, on or about 4/11/25.   c)Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards due to the aluminum dust sludge in the  RAND Bright wet dust collection system only being removed every 6 months. On or about 4/11/25.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
