29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns: a. On or about April 11, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee providing bundles of shingles using a Tranzsporter Ladder Hoist on the ground below was not wearing a hard hat to protect against falling materials.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a. On or about April 11, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, approximately sixteen (16') feet three (3") inches above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. JSL Construction Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1628466, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 5, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 425 Bloom St., Highland Park, IL 60035.
