29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(7)(iv): The employer did not provide at least once a year to employees who perform housekeeping operations in an area which contains ACM or PACM, an asbestos awareness training course, which contained locations of  ACM and PACM in the building/facility, recognition of ACM and PACM damage and deterioration, and proper response to fiber release episodes:  (a) U.S. Postal Service Facility, located at 2700 Caples Avenue, Vancouver, WA. 98661, on or about April 15, 2025, and at times prior thereto, employees performing housekeeping activities in areas where floor tiles were known to contain Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) or Potentially Asbestos Containing Material (PACM), were exposed to health hazards associated with asbestos. Employees were exposed to these hazards because the employer failed to provide an asbestos awareness training course at least annually.   The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1629204, citation number 2, item number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on 02-19-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 317 S 7th St, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.  The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537592, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 09-14-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3775 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95799.

Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1573860, citation number 1, item number 3b, and was affirmed as a final order on 11-09-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1675 7th Street, Oakland, CA 94615.
