29 CFR 1926.55(a)(2): An employee(s) was exposed to substance(s) with a permissible exposure limit not preceded by (C) at concentrations above that specified in Table 1 of �1926.55 for that substance(s): a) 4571 Tilghman St, Allentown, PA (Worksite) - On or about April 15, 2025, an employee operating a Lavina propane powered grinder (L30GEB, Serial No. 2209L30GEB28422) in the closed asbestos remediation area was exposed to Carbon Monoxide at a level of 309.2 ppm as an 8-hour Time Weighted Average, approximately 6.18 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm. This exposure was determined by Carboxyhemoglobin calculations over 180 minutes, with zero exposure being assumed for the remaining 300 minutes of an 8-hour work shift. b) 4571 Tilghman St, Allentown, PA (Worksite) - On or about April 15, 2025, an employee operating a Lavina propane powered grinder (L30GEB, Serial No. 2209L30GEB28422) in the closed asbestos remediation area was exposed to Carbon Monoxide at a level of 285.4 ppm as an 8-hour Time Weighted Average, approximately 5.71 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm. An employee operating a Lavina propane powered grinder (L30GEB, Serial No. 2209L30GEB28422) in the closed asbestos remediation area was exposed to Carbon Monoxide at a level of 309.2 ppm as an 8-hour Time Weighted Average, approximately 6.18 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm. The 8-hour Time Weighted Average Exposure Limit for carbon monoxide is 50 ppm. Applicable engineering or administrative controls may include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Implement the use of equipment that does not generate Carbon Monoxide. 2. Provide workspaces with ventilation capable of controlling exhaust from gas powered equipment. 3. Provide employees with gas monitoring equipment to identify when atmospheres in their workspace are hazardous.
