Employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 15 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about 4/22/2025 at the site located at 4 Stickley Drive , Manlius, NY 13104: Employees working on the 2nd floor of the building were not protected from falling through openings in the wall by guardrails or use of fall protection. Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 15 feet. b) On or about 04/22/2025 at the site located at 4 Stickley Drive, Manlius, NY 13104: An employee engaged in masonry activities did not utilizing fall protection while working next to an opening in the wall. The employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 15 feet. Vanni Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1670562, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/02/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 3439 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY 13214.
