Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  a) Located at Lot 9-7170 Leman Park Place, Canal Winchester, OH 43110: On or about April 25, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees framing were protected from falling by a fall protection system. As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 9 feet while performing residential construction.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(13):The top or top step of a stepladder shall not be used as a step.  a) Located at Lot 9-7170 Leman Park Place, Canal Winchester, OH 43110: On or about April 25, 2025, employees were exposed to a fall height of approximately 9 feet while stepping on top of a Werner 6-foot A-Frame ladder to gain access to the top of the first level of a residential structure during framing.
