29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) On or about April 16, 2025, and at times prior, the employer did not provide employees effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area, and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area, in that dry ice which may displace oxygen, cause rapid suffocation, increase respiration and heat rate, cause cryogenic burns or injury, and cause frostbite, according to the Airgas SDS for dry ice, was placed in the walk in freezer in the work area which employees routinely access to retrieve food products.
