The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. Located at 1565 Greyfield St, Lancaster, OH 43130: On or about April 29, 2025, the employer did not provide a fall protection training program to ensure that employees engaged in framing activities during the construction of a residential apartment building were protected from fall hazards while working at heights of approximately 9 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Located at 1565 Greyfield St, Lancaster, OH 43130: On or about April 29, 2025, the employer failed to ensure employees were protected against fall hazards of approximately 9 feet while framing the second story of an under construction residential apartment building. Castaneda Carpentry LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1560737, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on December 6, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4299 French Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207.
