29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: a) Outside, west end of processing building. Onion Conveyor Belt/ Little Cull. On April 22, 2025, and/or at times prior thereto, the approximately 1 1/2 inch diameter drive shaft, on the motor on the little cull belt, protruded approximately 4 and 1/2 inches. By not using proper machine guarding around the shaft an employee's clothing could become caught in the moving shaft and injure the employee.
