29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: USS Momsen, Portside, Flight deck, Frame 428: On or about May 7, 2025, and at times prior thereto, while employee(s) performed heavy duty flux welding the fire watch assigned and adjacent to the welding area did not have appropriate goggles or a flameproof screen/shield. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to flash burns.
