29 CFR 1910.178(f)(2): The storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas fuel was not in accordance with NFPA Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969), which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6: NFPA 58-1969 Section 5.1(a): Containers in storage shall be located so as to minimize exposure to temperature rise, physical damage, or tampering by unauthorized persons: At the workplace located at 2300 East Wyatt Earp Blvd. Dodge City, Kansas, employees engaged in material handling activities were exposed to fire, explosion and struck-by hazards. Liquified petroleum gas and/or propane containers were not secured or located to minimize exposure to physical damage in that containers were stored in a location where they were exposed to forklift and vehicular traffic within the shop area of the facility.

Two compressed oxygen cylinders and one liquified petroleum gas and/or propane container were stored directly next to and within the same storage area with a separation of approximately 2 feet.
