29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a) On May 9, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard from falling tools, material and debris when working below employees performing roofing work. The employee was not wearing a hard hat. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a) On May 9, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing work on a residential home, approximately 18 feet above the ground below, were not secured to a personal fall arrest systems or other means of fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. C. R. Ebert & Sons, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1568620, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 3, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1014 Michigan Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. C. R. Ebert & Sons, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1681812, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 29, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1630 Portage Pass in Deerfield, Illinois.
