29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer did not ensure employees used eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:  a.  On or about May 12, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees using a pneumatic nail gun was not wearing eye protection, thereby exposing the employees to hazards associated with eye injuries.

On or about May 12, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, nine (9') feet above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  JGL Esparza Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1785679, citation number 1 , item number1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/05/2025, with respect to a workplace located at 11 S. White St., Frankfort, IL 60423.

On or about May 12, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite Northwest side, the portable ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls.  b. On or about May 12, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite North side, the portable ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls.  JGL Esparza Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard of 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1785679, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 5, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at 11 S. White Street, Frankfort, IL.
