29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one hand rail: (a) 4503-4507 Tennyson Street, Denver CO: On or about May 14, 2025 , the employer did not ensure that all flights of stairs on an unfinished three-story apartment building had handrails installed. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 40 feet to the interior and approximately 20 feet to the exterior of the building to the concrete below. The employees were utilizing the stairways to conduct construction activities between floors.

29 CFR 1926.502(b)(2): Mid rails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, or equivalent intermediate structural members shall be installed between the top edge of the guardrail system and the walking/working surface when there is no wall or parapet wall at least 21 inches (53 cm) high.
