29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. 337 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin, CT 06037: On or about, May 15, 2025, the Employer failed to protect Employees on walking/working surfaces with an unprotected side or edge which is 6-feet or more above a lower level by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees were conducting roof remove, repair, and/or replace activities on the flat roof of a commercial building approximately 16-feet above ground without any fall protection safety measures in place.
