29 CFR  1910.1001(j)(7)(iv): The employer shall also provide, at no cost to employees who perform housekeeping operations in an area which contains ACM or PACM, an asbestos awareness training course, which shall at a minimum contain the following elements: health effects of asbestos, locations of ACM and PACM in the building/facility, recognition of ACM and PACM damage and deterioration, requirements in this standard relating to housekeeping, and proper response to fiber release episodes, to all employees who perform housekeeping work in areas where ACM and/or PACM is present. Each such employee shall be so trained at least once a year.  (a) 122 N Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187 - On or about June 3rd, 2025, employees performed general custodial and maintenance duties throughout the facility which contained asbestos-containing floor tiles, prior to receiving asbestos awareness training initially or on an annual basis.   The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1638363, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/19/2024 with respect to a workplace located at 3225 S.W. 87th, Portland, OR 97225  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1637648, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/19/2024 with respect to a workplace located at 630 N.E. Killingsworth, Portland, OR 97211  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1658340, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/19/2023 with respect to a workplace located at 6855 South Dayton Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80112  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1676799, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/08/2023 with respect to a workplace located at 154 1st Avenue East, Jerome, ID 83338  The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537592, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 09/14/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3775 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95799.   The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1567325 citation number 1 item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 5/5/2022 with respect to a workplace located at 300 Packerland Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin, 54303  This item was corrected during inspection.

29 CFR  1910.1001(j)(5)(i):The employer did not affix signs or labels so that employees would be notified of what materials contain ACM and/or PACM to materials that were previously identified to be ACM and/or PACM  (a) 122 N Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187 - On or about June 3rd, 2025, signs or labels were not affixed to inform employees about the previously identified asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the workplace. These materials include uninstalled 12x24 black floor tiles in the basement and beige 9x9 floor tiles in the information technology storage room.  This item was corrected during inspection.
