Lenexa, Kansas, employees engaged in truck maintenance activities were exposed to electrical shock and fire hazards. An 8-outlet relocatable power tap was connected to an extension cord, not in accordance with instructions in the listing or labeling. Employees utilize the relocatable power tap as needed to charge power tool batteries and other equipment.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: At the main shop of the facility located at 10003 Lackman Rd. Lenexa, Kansas, employees engaged in truck maintenance activities were exposed to electrical shock and fire hazards in that a flexible cord is used as a substitute for fixed wiring to power an 8-outlet relocatable power tap. Employees utilize the relocatable power tap as needed to charge power tool batteries and other equipment.
