OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were not fully trained to recognize fall hazards when loading product onto a flatbed trailer parked inside the facility:  a)  ATAS International, Inc. 6612 Snowdrift Road, Allentown, PA 18106:  On or about May 15, 2025, employees were exposed to fall hazards of 4 to 12 feet to the ground when loading crates of metal roofing onto the bed of a flatbed trailer that was parked inside the building.  Employees are not trained to recognize the fall hazards while walking on top of crates of product as they are loaded onto the trailer bed.  AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHODS TO CORRECT HAZARDS ARE:  1) Train employees to recognize the dangers of working on top of mobile equipment above 4 feet without fall protection or guardrail device.  2) Develop work rules and disciplinary procedures prohibiting working on top of mobile equipment above 4 feet without using fall protection or a guardrail device.
