29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1):The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Production: A hearing conservation program was not fully implemented including monitoring, baseline and annual audiometric testing, noise training, and the posting of the noise standard 1910.95. a. On July 24, 2025, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average noise level of 87.5 dBA (equivalently a dose of 70.5%) in excess of the 85 dBA (equivalently a dose of 50%) action level, while operating the abrasive blasting cabinet. b. On July 24, 2025, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average noise level of 90.5 dBA (equivalently a dose of 106.9%) in excess of the 85 dBA (equivalently a dose of 50%) action level, while operating the coating machine and using an air hose for parts cleaning. c. On July 24, 2025, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average noise level of 88.4 dBA (equivalently a dose of 79.9%) in excess of the 85 dBA (equivalently a dose of 50%) action level, while operating the coating machine and using an air hose for parts cleaning. d. On July 24, 2025, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average noise level of 89.2 dBA (equivalently a dose of 89.9%) in excess of the 85 dBA (equivalently a dose of 50%) action level, while operating the coating machine and using an air hose for parts cleaning.
