29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: (Construction Reference 1926.103)(a) Note: The employer may discontinue an employee's medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator. 2098 Hillside Rd, Storrs, CT 06268: On or about June 18, 2025, employees were exposed to respiratory protection hazards when they were required to wear filtering facepiece N95 respirators while removing piping structures. The employer did not ensure that employees received a medical evaluation to determine whether each employee required to wear a respirator is physically able to wear a respirator and perform the work.
