29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1)(i): Each platform unit (e.g., scaffold plank, fabricated plank, fabricated deck, or fabricated platform) was not installed so that the space between adjacent units and the space between the platform and the uprights were no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, except where the employer can demonstrate that a wider space is necessary. a) 65 S Chapel Street Newark, De 19711: On or about June 25, 2025, the employer did not ensure that individuals working on the Hydro mobile scaffold planked with wood material were properly protected by ensuring the spacing between adjacent planks were no more than 1 inch wide. An employee and equipment were observed on the planked surfaces that did not fully enclose the walking/working surface from fall hazards while engaged in a block laying activities at heights of approximately 50 feet above grade.
