29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Location: a) 38 Livonia Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11212: On or about June 27, 2025, a disc sander had an exposed belt and rotating parts on the side of the sander that was not guarded. Employees were using it to sand metal for making signs and were exposed to hazards created by the rotating parts.
