29 CFR 1910.23(c)(7): The employer did not ensure that ladders placed in locations such as passageways, doorways, or driveways where they can be displaced by other activities or traffic are properly secured or guarded. a) On or about July 3, 2025, at 705 Chickapee Trail in Maitland, FL, an employee was exposed to fall hazards while using a portable ladder to cut a tree branch approximately 22 feet high and 5-6 inches in diameter. The work was carried out without barriers or safeguards to prevent obstruction of traffic, increasing the risk of accidents.
