29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 220 South Rock Rd. Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were handling MasterSeal NP1 polyurethane sealant, Big Stretch elastomeric sealant and gasoline which can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation, nausea and/or vomiting, drowsiness and/or dizziness, dryness and/or cracking, may cause an allergic skin reaction, is suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 220 South Rock Rd. Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that employees were not provided training on the chemical hazards of MasterSeal NP1 polyurethane sealant, Big Stretch elastomeric sealant and gasoline which can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation, nausea and/or vomiting, drowsiness and/or dizziness, dryness and/or cracking, may cause an allergic skin reaction, is suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.

Wichita, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided access to the Safety Data Sheets for MasterSeal NP1 polyurethane sealant, Big Stretch elastomeric sealant and gasoline at the job site. These chemicals can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation, nausea and/or vomiting, drowsiness and/or dizziness, dryness and/or cracking, may cause an allergic skin reaction, is suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
