29 CFR 1910.29(f)(4): Openings in a stair rail system exceeded 19 inches at its least dimension: a)Trim Saw; On or about July 30, 2025 and times prior, employees walked up the stairs to operate the trim saw and grade lumber. A midrail was not installed on the stairway railings exposing employees to falls up to 4 feet. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The employees would work under the mill manager's lockout device(s) to perform the work. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The baffles on the front of the trimmer saw were either missing or damaged, exposing employees to flying chips and debris. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
